The Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe 2024 is planned to take place at the Longchamps Racecourse, Paris and is where the thoroughbred elite of the horseracing world meet to compete in one of the finest races in the French sporting calendar. This race is so incredibly popular that nearly a billion people from all over the world tune in to watch the event on TV with over 50,000 spectators descending upon Longchamp to see the action live.

The reason why the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe is considered by many as one of the greatest horseraces in the world is because the course at challenges both the jockeys and their steed. With a winning purse of over 4 million euros at stake, anything can happen on the day!

How to get there: All coach packages will include transfers directly to the racecourse. The Longchamp racecourse is situated within the 16th district of Paris, you can drive there, however, parking can be difficult. The best way to get to the race course would either be by taxi or public transport. The nearest metro stop is Porte d'Auteuil, which is about a 10 minute walk or you can take the shuttle to the racecourse on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

 

The Prix de l'Arc began in 1863 and was originally called the Grand Prix de Paris. It was only in 1920 that it was renamed after the famous Arc de Triomphe after the Allied victory parade of World War 1 occurred there.
