Ever wonder where this stairway leads??

The Perkins family, Boston’s most noted China-trade merchant families, were benefactors (The Boston Athenaeum, Perkins Institute for the Blind). Pinebank is the Victorian mansion of James Newton Perkins. Now abandoned by the City, it could serve as a community center, environmental education, or cultural center. Many other cities have restored buildings for public use. Join us in creating our vision of transforming Pinebank into a historic resource for the future.

Restored Everett Barney Carriage House in
Olmsted’s Forest Park, Springfield

Who says Pinebank can't be restored? Many other buildings have been restored to productive community use (Brooklyn, Trenton, Phildelphia, Medford, Waltham are but a few). Boston has a rich history - don't stain it!

Pinebank today - graffiti, vandalism, and most of all a lack of leadership and vision by Boston

Memories - the quiet idyllic days of summer at Perkins Cove, and on the bank above, our home known as Pinebank enjoyed a vista of Jamaica Pond and the hills beyond
